Our Story
We started because conventional thinking about urban space was leaving thousands of square meters unused while cities struggled with heat, food access, and biodiversity loss.
The founding team came from different backgrounds. Structural engineering. Horticulture. Urban planning. What connected us was the realization that rooftops represented massive untapped potential, and that the technical barriers were solvable.
What We Believe
Cities don't have to choose between density and green space. They don't have to import all their food from hundreds of kilometers away. And buildings don't have to be passive heat absorbers.
Rooftop systems, when properly engineered, address multiple urban challenges simultaneously. They produce food. They manage stormwater. They reduce energy costs. They create habitat. They improve air quality.
But these benefits only materialize when installations are designed correctly. Too many early projects failed because they ignored structural limits or underestimated maintenance requirements. We learned from those failures.
Our Approach
Every project begins with structural assessment. We need to know what the building can support before designing what it should support.
Then we consider exposure, access, water sources, and intended use. A restaurant needs different systems than a school. A community garden has different requirements than a production farm.
The result is custom design, not template installation. Which is more work upfront, but produces systems that actually function long-term.
Why Ireland
The climate here offers advantages people don't always recognize. Moderate temperatures mean extended growing seasons. Regular rainfall reduces irrigation needs. Ocean influence moderates temperature swings.
At the same time, Irish cities face the same density pressures as urban centers elsewhere. Ground-level space is expensive. Buildings need thermal management. Local food systems need development.
Rooftop farming addresses these conditions particularly well. The technical challenges are manageable. The economic case is strong. And there's growing institutional support for green infrastructure projects.

What's Next
We're expanding into modular systems that work for buildings with more limited structural capacity. We're developing partnerships with educational institutions. And we're documenting performance data to help make the case for policy changes.
The goal isn't to convert every rooftop. It's to convert the ones where it makes sense, do it properly, and demonstrate that urban farming is practical infrastructure, not experimental novelty.
